Above: 1948 prototype Hartnett, flat 2-cyl, 600cc, front wheel drive. Laurence Hartnett was involved in starting Holden in Australia. He later started his own car firm to manufacture a design by Jean Gregoire but the venture did not get off the ground. He made a second attempt in 1957 with the Lloyd-Hartnett a version of a German front-wheel drive car.
