1903: First Vauxhall "car".

1905: Move to Luton.

1907: Named Vauxhall Motors Ltd..

1925: Vauxhall bought by GM.

1930: Bedford set up to build commercial vehicles

1964, June: The Vauxhall Viva produced at Ellesmere Port.

1980 February: The (mk1) Vauxhall Astra went on sale (and the mk6 in Dec. 2009).

 

2009 September 10: The board of GM recommended selling 55% of Opel/Vauxhall to the Magna International Inc. and Sberbank [USSR] consortium but, 3 Nov. 2009, "decided to retain Opel[/Vauxhall]".
